At Brain Payroll, our journey began long before the product ever came to life. It all started with our founder, Nachi, who spent over a decade (2001-2012) working in senior technology roles across the globe. Leading complex, high-stakes projects for some of the world's top Fortune 500 investment banks, Nachi specialized in transforming high-volume, low-latency systems. These experiences laid the foundation for a deep understanding of what it takes to make technology not just functional but exceptional.

In 2013, Nachi launched professional services, a venture dedicated to delivering high-performance software solutions to SMEs. It was here that the seeds for Brain Payroll were planted, as Nachi helped various UK companies optimize their HR and payroll systems. It became clear that the market was missing something vital an ultra high performance payroll solution designed specifically for service providers.

By 2017, Brain had grown from a one-man show to a team. We had cracked part of the code: developing a payroll engine capable of processing 1 million payroll calculations in just 2 seconds, which earned recognition from HMRC. But speed wasn't the only challenge. Payroll processing is complex, and we knew we needed to go further.

Between 2018 and 2019, we completed our Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and welcomed our first live client. This was the beginning of something much bigger.

Fast forward to 2024-25: we now proudly serve over 35+ active clients and partners, having invested more than 600,000 man-hours in creating a product that not only delivers speed but also innovation, reliability, and scalability.

Today, with a robust and mature team at the helm, Brain Payroll is poised to disrupt the UK payroll market. We're not just about keeping pace with technology—we're shaping its future. Our mission is to empower payroll service providers with tools that harness the full potential of today's technology to solve tomorrow's problems.
